Responsibilities
- Monitor & Analyze: Continuously monitor network traffic and security systems for suspicious activities or potential breaches.
- Incident Response: Assist in the identification, containment, and remediation of security incidents and threats.
- Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct routine scans and assessments to identify system weaknesses and recommend patches.
- Security Logging: Manage and analyze logs from SIEM tools to detect anomalies and generate reports.
- Compliance Support: Help ensure compliance with internal security policies and relevant industry regulations.
- Security Awareness: Educate team members and clients on best practices for cyber hygiene.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certifications is required.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Tools: Familiarity with basic security tools and SIEM concepts is a plus.
- Skills: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex security concepts clearly.
