Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate potential security incidents and document findings
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement security controls and best practices across networks
- Collaborate with SOC team on incident response procedures
- Stay current on emerging threats and security trends
- Contribute to security awareness training materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 security operations environment
