Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and analyze potential cyber threats
- Assist in incident response procedures including documentation and evidence preservation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using automated scanning tools and manual techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns
- Document security incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts in compliance frameworks
- Stay updated on emerging threats and industry trends through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with network security concepts including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking protocols
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
