Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Processing: Gather, clean, and process large datasets from various sources to ensure high data quality and integrity for analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform complex statistical analysis and data modeling to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data.
- Reporting & Visualization: Design and develop interactive dashboards (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to visualize complex data sets for stakeholders in San Jose and Texas.
- SQL & Data Extraction: Write efficient SQL queries to extract data from relational databases and perform data manipulation tasks.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, engineering) to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on business performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the data operations workflow.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI).
- Tools: Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Remote Work: Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of managing time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Location: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and based in or willing to work remotely from San Jose, CA or Texas.
