Vegas Insight Group is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team on a night shift schedule. In this role, you will play a critical part in transforming raw data into actionable insights that support our operational excellence during the critical evening hours. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to uncover trends, optimize processes, and ensure our reporting infrastructure is robust and accurate.
As a Night Shift Data Analyst, you will be the guardian of our data integrity, ensuring that stakeholders have access to timely and accurate information to make decisions after hours. We value a proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for uncovering the stories hidden within complex datasets.
Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and transform large datasets using SQL and Python to ensure data integrity.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on overnight operational metrics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting critical findings and recommendations.
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines to support real-time reporting needs.
- Collaborate with the IT and Operations teams to troubleshoot data discrepancies and improve data governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a 24/7 operations or night-shift environment.
- Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) for complex querying and data manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
