Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts to detect and neutralize threats
- Lead incident response coordination for weekend security breaches, ensuring rapid containment and remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client systems during low-traffic weekend windows
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts for threat detection and response protocols
- Collaborate with global security teams via secure channels during weekend incident escalations
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation actions in compliance with NIST frameworks
- Conduct security awareness training for client teams during weekend workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification (required)
- Expertise in SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and network security protocols
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills for complex threat analysis during high-pressure situations
- Valid driver's license for occasional on-site requirements in San Antonio
