Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to security incidents during weekend shifts using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of critical systems
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during incident response and recovery
- Document security policies and update incident reports in compliance with NIST standards
- Train junior team members on security best practices and weekend protocols
- Perform forensic analysis on security breaches and recommend preventive measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with weekend shift exposure
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required (CompTIA Security+ acceptable)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence tools
- Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Experience with incident response procedures and forensic investigation tools
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure weekend operations
- Valid driver's license and willingness to relocate to Columbus, OH
