Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to security anomalies and threats in real-time.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security infrastructure.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems.
- Investigate security breaches and coordinate incident response efforts to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (e.g., ISO, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into software development.
- Provide security awareness training to staff members.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or IT security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CCNA Security are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds) and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure during security incidents.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote work environment.
