Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures across cloud and on-premise environments
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments using SIEM and EDR tools
- Lead incident response procedures for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Develop and execute penetration testing strategies to identify system weaknesses
- Create comprehensive security documentation and compliance reports (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Mentor junior security analysts and conduct security awareness training
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into DevOps pipelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations and threat mitigation
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, AWS/Azure security services
- Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption standards, and attack vectors
- Experience with zero-trust architecture and identity/access management solutions
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance if required
