Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security controls for equity options trading systems and market data feeds
- Conduct threat modeling, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments specific to options trading environments
- Monitor and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) with financial market context
- Develop security protocols for options order execution, clearing systems, and market surveillance tools
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts and traders to secure algorithmic trading strategies
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, FINRA rules, and PCI-DSS standards for financial data
- Lead security initiatives for options market surveillance and fraud detection systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years cybersecurity experience with 2+ years in financial services or options trading environments
- Expert knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001) and financial industry regulations
- Proficiency in security tools: Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Tenable, and financial-specific SIEM platforms
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH with FINRA Series 7/63 preferred
- Understanding of options trading mechanics, market microstructure, and associated cyber risks
- Experience securing high-frequency trading systems and low-latency networks
- Strong background in threat intelligence, incident response, and cryptography applications
