Responsibilities
- Design and implement network security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor and respond to security incidents using Splunk/SIEM
- Develop security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for secure cloud deployment
- Create and maintain security documentation (policies, playbooks)
- Lead threat hunting and forensic investigations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity engineering or similar role
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in AWS/Azure security services and tools
- Experience with incident response (NIST framework)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
