Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security protocols to protect cloud-based systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across networks
- Monitor SIEM alerts and respond to security incidents in real-time
- Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Prepare compliance documentation for NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 standards
- Mentor junior engineers on threat intelligence and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in AWS/Azure security services and tools
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell
- Ability to work flexible hours during security incidents
