Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust networks
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on federal systems
- Lead incident response operations for security breaches and cyberattacks
- Develop and maintain security documentation (SOPs, playbooks, compliance reports)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor SIEM alerts and proactively mitigate emerging threats
- Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, CMMC, and FedRAMP standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security services and cloud security architecture
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (NIST, CMMC, FedRAMP)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
