Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security controls across cloud and hybrid environments
- Lead incident response for complex cyber threats including ransomware and APTs
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Document security policies and procedures for regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering with hands-on threat mitigation experience
- Certifications required: CISSP or CISM (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in AWS/Azure security services and network security tools (Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Strong scripting abilities for security automation (Python, Bash)
- Experience with zero-trust architecture implementation
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
