Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust networks
- Lead incident response activities including threat hunting, forensic analysis, and containment of security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and execute security awareness training programs for employees
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and escalate critical incidents
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in network security, threat detection, or incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (required); GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and make critical decisions during security incidents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder reporting
