Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud security architectures using AWS security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach investigations
- Automate security monitoring workflows using AWS Lambda and Step Functions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 standards
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence sources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cloud security or cybersecurity engineering
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Strong understanding of network security protocols and tools
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, AWS Security Hub)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
