Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust network security architectures (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-prem systems
- Lead incident response and forensic investigations for security breaches
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor and analyze SIEM alerts for threat detection and mitigation
- Provide security awareness training to technical and non-technical staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity (network, cloud, or application security)
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (required)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with AWS/Azure security services and zero-trust architecture
- Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance frameworks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in contract roles
