Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before malicious actors do.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans to ensure rapid recovery from cyber attacks.
- Enforce data protection policies and ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and NIST.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in network security, threat analysis, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common security architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
