Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client networks
- Develop and implement security protocols for cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST & ISO 27001 standards
- Document security incidents and generate executive-level threat reports
- Lead incident response drills and security awareness training
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid Texas driver’s license (for occasional on-site requirements)
