Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight) to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Manage firewall rules, VPN configurations, and access controls to prevent unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Generate and present detailed security reports and dashboards to stakeholders and management.
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to proactively enhance our security posture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
- Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC certification is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and log analysis.
- Experience with endpoint protection (EPP), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and email security gateways.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical discipline.
