Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct incident response, forensic investigations, and threat hunting
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives
- Develop security documentation, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden systems and networks
- Stay current on emerging threats and compliance requirements (NIST, GDPR)
- Present security briefings to executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA CySA+
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container technologies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical threats
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
