Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with urgency
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and implement security protocols for network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Prepare detailed incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation techniques
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in threat detection/analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
