As a key member of our security operations center, you'll monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats while maintaining compliance with industry standards. This role offers a unique work-life balance with weekend shifts, allowing you to maximize your weekdays for personal pursuits.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and analyze alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware, phishing, and DDoS attacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and security documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture
- Stay current with emerging threats and security best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms and threat intelligence tools
- Knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
- Experience with incident response and forensic investigation
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license for occasional on-site requirements
