Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across enterprise networks and systems during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware outbreaks and intrusion attempts
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Document security incidents and generate comprehensive incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SIEM monitoring, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Experience with Splunk, QRadar, or similar SIEM platforms
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
