You'll work closely with our security operations center to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents. Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity and potential breaches
- Investigate and respond to security incidents including malware, phishing, and unauthorized access attempts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure and applications
- Develop and implement security policies aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security gaps and enhance defensive measures
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and maintain detailed security documentation
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in threat detection and incident response
- Professional certification (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and security automation platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing methodologies
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize incidents under pressure
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
