As a critical member of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you will be responsible for monitoring threats and defending our infrastructure during non-business hours. Responsibilities
- Monitor SOC dashboards and SIEM systems for suspicious activity and security alerts 24/7 during weekend shifts.
- Conduct forensic investigations and root cause analysis (RCA) on detected security incidents.
- Execute incident response playbooks to contain and neutralize active cyber threats.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and patch management reviews on weekend schedules.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, HIPAA) and internal security policies.
- Document incident reports and maintain accurate logs of security events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GCIH preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or incident response.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Proven ability to work rotating weekend shifts and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
