Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with precision
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Implement firewall configurations and access control policies
- Document security incidents and maintain comprehensive audit trails
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during critical incident response
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security frameworks
- Ability to work independently under pressure during weekend shifts
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting
- Valid U.S. government security clearance a plus
