Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Document incident reports and security metrics for executive review
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security hardening measures
- Conduct forensic analysis of advanced persistent threats (APTs)
- Stay current with emerging threats and regulatory compliance (NIST, GDPR)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC environment
- CompTIA Security+ certification (CISSP preferred)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, CrowdStrike)
- Strong analytical skills with incident response methodology
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during off-hours
- Excellent written communication for security reporting
