Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts
- Investigate potential security incidents and initiate incident response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and implement security controls for cloud infrastructure and on-premise systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security gaps
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance with NIST frameworks
- Participate in threat intelligence briefings and security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security best practices
- Experience with incident response procedures and malware analysis
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
