Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware outbreaks and unauthorized access attempts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and patches
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed forensic reports
- Conduct proactive threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Participate in quarterly security drills and weekend incident simulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, preferably in SOC or incident response
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Proficiency in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Experience working non-traditional shifts (weekends/holidays)
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architectures
