Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to security alerts, malware incidents, and potential breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Document security incidents, mitigation actions, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incidents and forensic investigations
- Implement security controls and hardening measures for network infrastructure
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with network security protocols (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
