Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts
- Investigate potential security incidents using forensic tools and threat intelligence feeds
- Respond to and document cybersecurity incidents following established playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during major security events
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations focus
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols and security architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field preferred
