Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware, intrusions, and DDoS attacks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and patch management for critical infrastructure
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and collaborate with weekday teams for seamless handoffs
- Conduct forensic analysis of security events using tools like Wireshark and Splunk
- Participate in weekend tabletop exercises and security drills
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA security frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure weekend scenarios
- Experience with incident response playbooks and forensic investigation tools
- Valid U.S. government security clearance a plus
