Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and implement mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and compliance frameworks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
- Provide weekend shift coverage (Friday-Sunday) with on-call rotation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of incident response procedures and forensic methodologies
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, CrowdStrike)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during critical incidents
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to work flexible weekend shifts
