Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, network traffic, and system logs to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on organizational assets
- Incident response coordination during weekend hours, including forensic investigation and mitigation
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption) across hybrid environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop security policies and procedures
- Generate comprehensive security reports for leadership and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with weekend shift exposure preferred
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint security platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Excellent written/verbal communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts
