As a key member of our SOC team, you'll protect enterprise infrastructures during peak weekend traffic when threats are most active. This role combines hands-on incident response with strategic threat intelligence analysis in a collaborative environment that values work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun) using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend systems
- Generate comprehensive incident reports with actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with on-call engineers during critical security events
- Update security documentation and playbooks based on weekend findings
- Participate in quarterly weekend tabletop exercises and simulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations, SOC, or incident response roles
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and EDR solutions
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, CrowdStrike)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure weekend scenarios
- Valid driver's license for occasional client site visits
