Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts
- Conduct incident response investigations and coordinate mitigation actions
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Implement and maintain firewall rules, IDS/IPS configurations, and encryption protocols
- Document security incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness initiatives
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous learning
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with weekend shift preference
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, NIST)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently during off-hours
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
