Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) across enterprise environments
- Lead incident response for weekend security breaches, coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Conduct forensic investigations and root cause analysis for security incidents
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client systems
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries for leadership
- Develop and refine playbooks for weekend-specific threat scenarios
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations background
- Active CISSP, CEH, or GIAC certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems and endpoint security solutions
- Ability to work independently during critical incidents with minimal supervision
- Valid US government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
