Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security alerts and anomalous activity during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware, intrusion attempts, and data breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies through continuous training
- Participate in weekend on-call rotations for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with Windows/Linux system administration and network protocols
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for incident investigation
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure weekend environment
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass Tier 3 background check
