Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts 24/7 during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with SLA-driven urgency
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance with NIST frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement threat mitigation strategies
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and compile incident reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with SOC/NOC experience
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security architectures
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and team collaboration
