Responsibilities
- Continuous Monitoring: Oversee security systems and SIEM dashboards for anomalies and potential breaches during high-risk weekend periods.
- Incident Response: Perform timely triage, investigation, and containment of security incidents with a focus on rapid resolution.
- Threat Hunting: Conduct proactive searches for advanced threats and indicators of compromise (IoCs) that automated tools may miss.
- Vulnerability Management: Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and remediating security weaknesses across the network.
- Reporting: Document incident reports, maintain accurate security logs, and generate performance metrics for management.
- Collaboration: Liaise with other teams to patch vulnerabilities and reinforce security protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH preferred; CCNA/CCNP a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a SOC environment or as a Network Security Engineer.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and EDR solutions.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills under pressure.
