Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with minimal latency
- Execute vulnerability scans and penetration testing in non-production environments
- Document incident reports and security event summaries for weekday handoff
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture improvements
- Conduct security awareness training for weekend support staff
- Stay updated on emerging threats and adapt security protocols accordingly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with weekend shift exposure
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with network security protocols (Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently during off-hours
- Valid US driver's license for occasional on-site emergency response
