Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Document security incidents and generate comprehensive forensic reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incidents and remediation
- Stay current with emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
- Perform security audits and compliance checks for regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations (SOC, NOC, or incident response)
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems and network protocols
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
