Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts 24/7 using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents within SLA timeframes
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incident activations
- Document security events and maintain compliance with NIST frameworks
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and attack vectors
- Implement security controls and patches during low-traffic weekend windows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or cybersecurity incident response
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (FireEye, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure weekend environments
- Valid US government security clearance preferred
