Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts 24/7 using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents during weekend shifts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and generate comprehensive incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during major security events
- Implement security controls and hardening procedures for network infrastructure
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and malware incidents
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with weekend shift or on-call rotation
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with Windows/Linux security hardening and log analysis
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure weekend scenarios
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
