Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with 30-minute SLA
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on incident response playbooks
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports with actionable recommendations
- Implement and maintain firewall configurations and access controls
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk/Symantec)
- CompTIA Security+ and/or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site
