Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Document security incidents and generate comprehensive incident response reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical security incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on threat detection experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Weekend shift availability (Friday-Sunday 6PM-6AM CST)
