Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for real-time alerts and suspicious activity during off-hours.
- Conduct thorough incident triage, analysis, and response to mitigate cyber threats and security breaches.
- Execute forensic investigations to determine the root cause of security anomalies and recommend remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with the 24/7 SOC team to escalate incidents and ensure seamless handover of critical issues.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and patch management to maintain system hardening standards.
- Document all security events, findings, and actions in accordance with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Cybersecurity Analyst role.
- Experience working in a rotating weekend shift environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, or Azure Sentinel).
- CISSP, Security+, or GSEC certification is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
