Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware attacks and data breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and compliance measures
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies through continuous training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with incident response protocols (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently during off-hours
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF)
