Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and event logs across on-premise and cloud environments (Azure/AWS) during weekend shifts.
- Conduct 24/7 threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify potential exploits before they cause damage.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access.
- Perform log analysis and SIEM correlation to detect anomalous behavior patterns and generate alerts.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies, NIST standards, and industry regulations.
- Document incident reports and coordinate with the on-call team for critical escalations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm, or ELK Stack).
- Experience with endpoint protection platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) and firewalls.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows systems administration and scripting (Python or Bash).
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
- Ability to work independently during non-standard business hours (Saturday/Sunday).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings.
